The Constitution Is More Than
"Just a Damned Piece of Paper!"

Last November, President Bush met with Republican Congressional
Leaders in the Oval Office to discuss renewal of the controversial USA Patriot Act.  When concerns were raised about onerous provisions of the Act, President Bush reportedly screamed back:  "STOP THROWING THE CONSTITUTION IN MY FACE.  IT'S JUST A G--DAMN PIECE OF PAPER!"  This incident was reported in Doug Thompson's column, "The Rant," on December 9, 2005 in Capitol Hill Blue.

If you agree the United States Constitution is "just a g--damn piece of paper," and that, for example, we should permit unwarranted spying on our own citizens, then support right wing politicians and their assault on our Bill of Rights.

If, on the other hand, you cherish the rights secured for us by our founding fathers, and defended for over 200 years by those who have sworn to uphold the Constitution, then join us in protecting those rights.  We help candidates who value civil liberties to run for office.

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
